Video shows Indian team bus leaving Adelaide hotel without opening batter, player seen boarding a car later

The Indian team left for Brisbane on Wednesday, (December 11) which is the venue for the third Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 Test. The Australians had already reached Brisbane, while the visitors decided to stay back for a day in Adelaide, where the second Test was played.

The Indian team bus departed from the hotel in Adelaide for the airport to catch their flight to Brisbane. According to a report by Ray Sportz, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal missed the team bus after being late. The players and support staff on the bus waited for him but decided to leave later on.

Eventually, Jaiswal was seen was seen entering a car, in which he was driven to the airport. Fortunately, the Indian team reached the airport on time and boarded the flight, including Jaiswal.


Indian team keen to bounce back in Brisbane

The Indian team began the series on a positive note with a sensational 295-run win in the opening Test of the BGT 2024-25 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. However, the visitors failed to carry the momentum into the second Test.

The pink ball Test in Adelaide proved to be a tough one for the Indian team as they succumbed to a 10-wicket loss. Batting first, they were bowled out for just 180 runs. Australia put up a solid total of 337 in reply, riding on a breathtaking century from Travis Head. The hosts bowled the visitors out cheaply once again, for just 175 runs in their second innings.

Eventually, the hosts were set a target of just 19 runs, which they comfortably chased down in 3.2 overs with all wickets intact. The five-match series is now leveled 1-1 with three Tests to go.

The third Test in Brisbane becomes all the more crucial and the Rohit Sharma-led side will be eager to bounce back from a heavy loss in Adelaide to take a 2-1 lead. The Test will get underway on Saturday, December 14.
