Virat Kohli poses with a couple of kids during a practice session at Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of IND vs NZ 2024 Test series

Team India stalwart Virat Kohli recently interacted with a couple of kids and posed for a picture with them during a practice session at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Kohli is currently in the capital city of Karnataka, preparing for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand that will commence on October 16.

Kohli was last seen in action during the Tests against Bangladesh earlier this month. The 35-year-old scored 99 runs across four innings in the series at an average of 33.

After a mini-break, Virat Kohli has returned to the field to train before the New Zealand series along with the rest of the Indian Test squad. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took to their official X handle and shared a picture to give fans a glimpse of Kohli at the Chinnaswamy Stadium along with a couple of kids. "They are not at the peak of their powers to be fair"- Sanjay Manjrekar on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma ahead of BGT 2024 series vs Australia

Team India is all set to travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series next month. Indian fans have high expectations from the Rohit Sharma-led side as they won the previous two series Down Under.

Former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar recently previewed the series and opined that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma aren't in top form in the batting department, which might hurt India's chances. Speaking on the SportifyWithPRG YouTube channel, Manjrekar said:

"Virat and Rohit, both are not in their prime, they are not at the peak of their powers to be fair and others like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubhman Gill have to rise to the occasion. Rishabh Pant is the only one that I feel is in his prime and a very important player. As for the Australians, the aura and ability they had in the past, where every game they played, they were like champions, is not there anymore"

He continued:

"This series might just be a little more competitive than the last two tours, where Indian cricket reached a new high when they beat Australia. The Indian batting will, I think, decide the fate of the series."
