Virat Kohli WTC record: List of hundreds scored by Indian batter in the World Test Championship

Virat Kohli will be seen in action when India take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home starting September 19. The games will be part of the 2023-2025 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

The first match of the India-Bangladesh Test series will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19-September 23. The second game will be held at Green Park in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1.

Looking at Kohli's overall record in the World Test Championship (2019 to present), the 35-year-old has featured in 36 matches and has scored 2235 runs at an average of 39.21, with the aid of four centuries. The former India captain will be keen to add to his tally when the hosts face Bangladesh in the upcoming series.

#1 (254*) vs South Africa in Pune (October 2019)

Kohli scored a brilliant 254* in the first innings of the second Test against South Africa at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune in October 2019.

Leading the side, the right-handed batter struck 33 fours and two sixes in his 336-ball knock as India won the match by an innings and 137 runs. This remains Kohli's highest Test score to date.


#2 (136) vs Bangladesh in Kolkata (November 2019)

The star Indian batter struck 136 off 194 balls in the Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata in November 2019. Batting first, Bangladesh were bowled out for 106. Kohli then hit 18 fours in his 194-ball stay at the crease. India went on to hammer Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs.


#3 (186) vs Australia in Ahmedabad (March 2023)

Following his hundred against Bangladesh in Kolkata, Kohli hit a lean patch, which kept dragging on. His next three-figure score in Test cricket was registered in March 2023 when he compiled 186 off 364 balls against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In a high-scoring draw, Kohli occupied the crease for 517 minutes and hit 15 fours.


#4 (121) vs West Indies in Port of Spain (July 2023)

Kohli's fourth ton in the WTC came when he scored 121 against West Indies in Port of Spain in July 2023. India batted first in the game and the right-hander batter top-scored for the visitors, hitting 11 fours in his 206-ball knock. This Test also ended in a draw.
