[Watch] 42-year-old Yuvraj Singh turns back the clock with a 6 over leg-side in World Championship of Legends match

India Champions captain Yuvraj Singh turned back the clock in his entertaining knock against West Indies Champions in World Championship of Legends 2024 on July 5. Yuvraj smashed 38 runs off 25 deliveries at Edgbaston before retiring hurt.

Leading the India Champions from the front, Yuvraj Singh smacked three fours and two sixes during his stay in the middle. The India Champions captain hit one of his two sixes against Sulieman Benn in the 12th over of the innings.

Just like the old days, Singh stepped out and smacked the ball from the leg-spinner outside the boundary line. His trademark pose after the shot made the fans nostalgic. You can watch the video of that shot here:

Yuvraj's 25-ball 38 helped India Champions reach 229/5 in 20 overs after being down to 65/3 at one stage. The skipper joined hands with Gurkeerat Singh Mann to destroy the West Indies Champions bowling lineup. Gurkeerat scored 86* off 42 deliveries, hitting six fours and seven sixes.


Can Yuvraj Singh maintain his 100% win record as India Champions captain in World Championship of Legends tonight?

India Champions will play their third game of the World Championship of Legends tonight against arch-rivals Pakistan Champions. The much-awaited game will begin at Edgbaston at 9 pm IST. Big names like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Shahid Afridi, Younus Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Sohail Tanvir and Wahab Riaz will take the field.

Both India Champions and Pakistan Champions are undefeated in the tournament thus far. Indian skipper Yuvraj has led the team brilliantly. He mentioned in the post-match interview of the match against West Indies Champions that he had a sore back, which is why he had to retire hurt. However, the Indian captain added that he will try his best to attain full fitness for the big game tonight.
