Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and senior batter Virat Kohli interacted with a young fan during the side's practice session ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The two ace batters also gave their autographs to the kid.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to return to cricketing action following a short break after India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. The two announced their T20I retirements following the showpiece event.

However, Sharma will continue to lead India in ODIs and Test matches, and Kohli will also feature in those two formats.

Virat Kohli was the Player of the Match in the 2024 T20 World Cup final

Virat Kohli struggled to get going with the bat until the 2024 T20 World Cup final. However, he stepped up and played a clutch knock in the most important game.

India were in deep trouble in the final against South Africa, with Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav back in the hut within the powerplay. Kohli steadied the ship for his side alongside Axar Patel, forming a crucial 72-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Kohli was the top batter for the Men in Blue, scoring 76 runs off 59 deliveries. His knock helped India register 176/7 despite a shaky start.

India ultimately clinched a seven-run victory in a thrilling encounter. Hardik Pandya picked up three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh claimed two wickets apiece.

With the victory, India ended an 11-year ICC trophy drought. They also became the first-ever team to win the Men's ICC T20 World Cup unbeaten.
