[Watch] "Aap maante ho hum aapke liye lucky hain?" - Kapil Sharma poses a hilarious query to Rohit Sharma over T20 World Cup triumph

The second season of the Great Indian Kapil Show will be aired soon on Netflix and Indian Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma will be seen in one of the episodes along with a few members of the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning squad. In a promo video shared on Instagram, the comedy show's host Kapil is seen asking a hilarious query to Rohit over Team India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph.

India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final in Barbados to lift the 2024 T20 World Cup. This was their first ICC title win in 11 years. They had previously lifted the Champions Trophy in England back in 2013.

Speaking of the Great Indian Kapil Show, Rohit had appeared in the first season of the comedy show as well with batter Shreyas Iyer. In the upcoming season, the Hitman will be seen making an appearance with his T20 World Cup-winning teammates Shivam Dube, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.

In the teaser video shared by actor Archana Puran Singh on Instagram, Kapil is seen cheekily asking Rohit:

"Aap humare pehle season mein aaye the toh World Cup mein runner-up the, iss baar World Cup Jeet ke aaye ho aap, kya aap maante ho hum aapke liye lucky hain?" (You can in the first season and were runners-up in the World Cup. Now, you are coming in the second season and are World Cup winners. Do you believe we are lucky for you?"

Rohit was initially stumped by the query but then responded with a smile. Apart from the episode featuring cricketers, the promo video of the show also features clips of Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, and Janhavi Kapoor, who have shot for episodes as guests on the show.


Rohit Sharma led from the front in India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph

Rohit was India's leading run-getter in the 2024 T20 World Cup. In eight innings, he scored 281 runs at an average of 35.12 and a strike rate of 124.34. He contributed 52 off 37 in India's first group match against Ireland.

The 37-year-old made a quick-fire 23 off 11 in the Super 8 match against Bangladesh before slamming a brilliant 92 off 41 against Australia, a knock that featured seven fours and eight sixes. The Indian captain contributed 57 off 39 in the semifinals against England but was dismissed for nine in the final.
