Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was seen dancing in delight alongside Varun Chakravarthy and Ramandeep Singh after the team's IPL 2024 final win. Kolkata beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in a one-sided summit clash in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.

The KKR players and team management celebrated their triumph by dancing their hearts out at the after-party. Nayar, Chakravarthy and Ramandeep were seen grooving to the song 'Desi Boyz'.

The IPL 2024 final between Hyderabad and Kolkata proved to be a one-sided affair. After electing to bat first, Hyderabad were bundled out for a paltry score of 113, the lowest-ever total in an IPL final.

Andre Russell picked up three wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana claimed two scalps each. Kolkata chased down the target in just 10.3 overs, courtesy of Venkatesh Iyer's unbeaten 52-run knock off 26 balls.

"I can't express how happy I am" - Abhishek Nayar on KKR's IPL 2024 victory

During a post-match interview, Abhishek Nayar shared his excitement about Kolkata's success in IPL 2024. He spoke about how it took 16 years for him to finally be part of an IPL winning team.

Nayar said:

"It means everything. It has taken a very long time. Personally, started playing IPL in the first season. It's taken me 16 years before I got my championship, but I'm really happy for the boys. I can't express how happy I am. Can't express it, with the big man (Russell) turning up as usual, but it's the most surreal feeling that I've had in a very long time."

Abhishek Nayar has had a major role to play in KKR's success. Speaking about the former cricketer's contribution, here's what Varun Chakravarthy said in a post-match interview:

"All I can think right now is of the person who built this Indian core: Abhishek Nayar."

It is worth mentioning that this is KKR's third IPL title. They previously won the championship in 2012 and 2014 under Gautam Gambhir's captaincy.
