India A batter Abhishek Sharma and Pakistan A bowler Sufiyan Muqeem were involved in a verbal altercation during the fourth match of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 19, at the AI Amerat Cricket Ground.
On the first ball of the seventh over, Sufiyan bowled a good-length delivery on off stump. Abhishek charged down the pitch, aiming to hit the ball over cover. But he ended up edging it, leading to an easy catch for Qasim Akram at point.
After the wicket, the Pakistani bowler gave Abhishek a fiery send-off, prompting the Indian batter to respond with words and a fierce glare.

Abhishek scored 35 runs off 22 balls, including five boundaries and two sixes. His dismissal left India A at 68 for one after 6.1 overs.
Decent contribution from the top order helps India post a respectable total on the board
India A won the toss and chose to bat first. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh added 68 runs off 37 balls for the first wicket. Abhishek scored 35 runs off 22 balls, while Singh contributed 36 off 19.
Captain Tilak Varma played a solid innings, scoring 44 off 35 balls with the aid of two fours and two sixes. Nehal Wadhera chipped in with 25 runs off 22 balls. Toward the end, Ramandeep Singh added 17 runs off 11 balls as India A finished at 183 for eight after 20 overs. Sufiyan Muqeem took two wickets for Pakistan A.
In response, Anshul Kamboj provided two early breakthroughs for India A, dismissing Mohammad Haris (6) and Omair Yousuf (2) cheaply.
At the time of writing, Pakistan A were 32 for two after four overs, needing 152 to win, with Yasir Khan (9) and Qasim Akram (10) at the crease.
