[Watch] Akash Deep wreaks havoc by striking twice in same over in IND vs BAN 1st Test

Akash Deep impressed with the ball against Bangladesh by taking two wickets in the same over of the opening Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Day 2 (Friday, September 20). The speedster wreaked havoc by dismissing opener Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque in the ninth over of Bangladesh's first innings to leave the visitors reeling at 22-3.

Akash first cleaned up Zakir Hasan with an excellent delivery that angled into the batter from wide of the off-stump. The ball entered the bat and pad gap to uproot the middle stump. Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir burst into a smile following the wicket.

Akash then bowled a delivery that nipped back as Mominul missed his forward defense. The ball hit the pad before crashing onto the off-stump. The pacer punched in the air as new bowling coach Morne Morkel was seen smiling.
