[Watch] Alex Carey dives to take first slip’s catch and remove Mohammed Siraj for 1 in BGT 2024-25 3rd Test

Australia wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey took a stunning catch off Mitchell Starc to draw curtains on Mohammed Siraj’s short stint at the crease on Day 4 (Tuesday, December 17) of the ongoing third Border-Gavaskar series Test in Brisbane. Carey dived to his right to complete the catch in front of the first slip as Siraj walked back for just one run off 11 deliveries, leaving the tourists in a spot of bother at 201/8. The right-handed batter had walked in at No. 9 despite sustaining a hamstring issue on Day 2.

The dismissal took place in the 63rd over of India’s first innings. Starc bowled a full-length ball from around the wicket that angled in after pitching. The right-hander went hard at it, only to manage a thick edge before Carey made a full-stretch dive to grab the catch.
