Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland weaved her magic as Northern Superchargers demolished Oval Invincibles in The Hundred clash at Kennington Oval in London on Friday, August 2. Sutherland took four wickets in six balls as the Invincibles were bundled out for 64 in just 66 deliveries. She finished with the best bowling figures for the Superchargers in the tournament (4/11).
The incident took place between the 61st and 66th ball of the Invincibles run chase. Sutherland began her flurry of wickets by dismissing Amanda-Jade Wellington before cleaning up Ryana McDonald, Sophia Smale, and Rachel Slater. Interestingly, all the wickets were clean-bowled dismissals.

With four scalps in the match, Annabel Sutherland has become the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. She has eight wickets in three innings at an economy rate of 3.75.
In the match, Sutherland also scored an unbeaten 63 runs off 40 balls with the help of three sixes and five boundaries.
Annabel Sutherland’s all-round show helps Northern Superchargers thrash Oval Invincibles
A clinical all-round effort from Annabel Sutherland helped Northern Superchargers beat the Oval Invincibles by 82 runs on Friday.
Asked to bat first, the Superchargers put up 146/4 in their allotted 100 balls. Apart from Sutherland, Phoebe Litchfield scored 44 off 30 deliveries, hitting nine boundaries. Rachel Slater bagged two wickets, while Mady Villiers and Sophia Smale bagged one wicket each.
In response, Oval Invincibles were bundled out for 64. Amanda-Jade Wellington and Paige Schofield got starts, scoring 26 (21) and 24 (19) but failed to take the team over the line. Other than Sutherland’s four-fer, Kate Cross and Linsey Smith also bagged two wickets apiece.
With the win, Northern Superchargers jumped from last to fifth place in the points table, while Oval dropped from top to fourth spot. The Superchargers will next face off against Manchester Originals at Headingley in Leeds on Sunday, August 4. Meanwhile, Oval Invincibles will lock horns with London Spirit at Lord’s in London on the same day.
