[Watch] "Anyone challenging me?" - Rishabh Pant plays Skee-Ball ahead of IND vs SL 1st T20I
Team India's Rishabh Pant was seen unwinding by playing skee-ball ahead of their upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The wicketkeeper-batter seemed to be a pro at the arcade game, achieving top two scores on the machine.
Taking to his official Instagram handle on Thursday, July 25, Pant shared a video of him playing Skee-Ball. The southpaw proudly pointed at the score as he achieved 58,000 and 63,000 points in his two attempts.
Rishabh Pant captioned the post:
"Anyone challenging me for Skee Ball? 😌"
Rishabh Pant returned to international cricket after being named in India's squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The 26-year-old made a comeback into the national team after 17 months since being involved in a horrific car crash in December 2022.
India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final, becoming the first-ever men's team to win the T20 World Cup unbeaten. Pant was the third-highest run-getter for the Men in Blue at the showpiece event, amassing 171 runs across eight innings.
Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson will fight for the keeper-batter's spot in India's three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka
The upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka will be the first assignment for Team India's new head coach Gautam Gambhir and skipper Suryakumar Yadav.
It remains to be seen whom the team management prefers for the keeper-batter's role in the series, with Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson fighting for the spot. The Indian think tank might also consider playing both players, with one playing as a pure batter.
Both Pant and Samson were part of India's 15-member roster at the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, it was Pant who got the nod over Samson as the latter remained on the bench throughout the ICC event.
The first T20I of the series between India and Sri Lanka is set to be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on Saturday, July 27.
