[Watch] Ardent fan climbs tree for a glimpse of 2024 T20 World Cup champions India at victory parade in Mumbai’s Marine Drive
An ardent Team India fan climbed a tree for a glimpse of the T20 World Cup champion's victory parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, July 4. A sea of fans flocked to Marine Drive to celebrate with the Men in Blue, who were atop an open bus. The BCCI officials, support staff, and players were visibly ecstatic during the victory parade.
It was only the second time that Team India's victory parade was organized in Mumbai after the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup win.
In a video shared by Aaj Tak on X (formerly Twitter), a fan can be seen capturing the players on his mobile phone while enjoying the aerial view.

Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. stayed unbeaten to clinch the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy. The Men in Blue beat South Africa by seven runs in the final. They are now the only third side after West Indies and England to win two T20 World Cups. They will now defend their title at the 2026 T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played in India and Sri Lanka.
