Indian pacer Avesh Khan got the crucial wicket of Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza with a brilliant short delivery in the second T20I on Sunday, July 7. The Men in Blue came back strongly in the second game after an embarrassing loss by 13 runs in the first match.
A brilliant 100-run innings from Abhishek Sharma helped the visitors put up a mammoth total of 234 on the board. In response, Zimbabwe scored 40 runs in the first three overs but lost two wickets. Avesh Khan then provided the important wicket of Sikandar Raza in the fourth over.
The right-arm pacer bowled a brilliant bouncer as Raza got caught in two minds about whether to pull or duck. The Zimbabwe captain ended up being late on the ball, which hit his gloves and went into the hands of Indian keeper Dhruv Jurel.

The Men in Blue lost their skipper, Shubman Gill, for two runs in the second over after opting to bat first. Then, Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad played sensibly for 10 overs before going berserk.
Sharma brought up his first half-century for India in 33 balls and then only took 13 more balls to score the next 50 runs. The left-handed batter scored 100 runs off just 47 balls before getting out.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj played a brilliant innings of 77* off 47 balls. He hit 11 fours and a six, and towards the end, it was Rinku Singh's show. The left-hander remained unbeaten on 48 off 22 runs as the Men in Blue dominated the first innings after a horror show in the first T20I.
