[Watch] Axar Patel bamboozles Jonny Bairstow with arm ball in IND vs ENG 2024 T20 World Cup semifinals
Team India all-rounder Axar Patel got the better of England's Jonny Bairstow in the 2024 T20 World Cup semifinal in Guyana on Thursday, July 27. The keeper-batter was dismissed for a three-ball duck in the knockout fixture.
With England required to chase down a 172-run target on a tricky pitch, the onus was on Bairstow to make an impact with the team's openers back in the hut early. However, the swashbuckling batter lost his wicket to Axar's arm ball in the sixth over of the run chase.
Bairstow tried to play the ball through covers, expecting it to turn. He was completely undone as the ball went on with the arm and ended up hitting the off-stump.

It is worth mentioning that Axar Patel also hit a six in the final over of the Indian innings. His 10-run cameo helped the Men in Blue finish at 171/7 in 20 overs.
