[Watch] Axar Patel sports new look ahead of IND vs SL T20I series
Team India all-rounder Axar Patel was seen in a new look ahead of the side's upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The all-rounder was rocking a new haircut during the Men in Blue's photoshoot before the first fixture on Saturday, July 27.
Broadcaster Sony Sports Network shared a video on its social media handles on Thursday, July 25, giving fans a glimpse of Team India's photoshoot. In the clip, Axar was spotted in a new buzz-cut look.

Axar Patel was one of India's standout performers in their 2024 T20 World Cup-winning campaign. The southpaw scored 92 runs across five innings and picked up nine wickets from eight innings at an economy rate of 7.86.
The 30-year-old shone in the all-important knockout matches. He was adjudged the Player of the Match in India's semifinal against England, registering stunning figures of 4-0-23-3. Axar played a clutch knock under pressure in the final against South Africa, scoring 47 runs off 31 balls before being run out.
Axar walked out to bat when India were reeling at 34/3 in 4.2 overs. He steered the ship out of choppy waters for Rohit Sharma and Co., forming a crucial 72-run stand for the fourth wicket with Virat Kohli.

Axar Patel could be seen bowling in the powerplay during the first T20I of the series between India and Sri Lanka. During India's practice session, skipper Suryakumar Yadav was heard telling the crafty spinner that he would have to bowl after the third or the fourth over.
Suryakumar can be heard saying in a video posted by Sony Sports Network on X:
"Teesre chauthe over ke baad tu hi dikhega (You'll only come on after third or fourth over)."
The T20I series opener between India and Sri Lanka will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on Saturday, July 27.
