[Watch] Ayush Badoni hits four sixes in a row in Delhi Premier League 2024 

South Delhi Superstarz and Lucknow Super Giants batter Ayush Badoni smashed four sixes in a row in the opening game of the Delhi Premier League against Purani Delhi-6 at the Arun Jaitley International Cricket Stadium, Delhi, on Saturday.

The Delhi Premier League got underway on Saturday, August 17, and features some of the biggest names to come out of the city. Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, Lalit Yadav and Ayush Badoni are a few names that will be taking part in the competition.

In the first match of the competition, Ayush Badoni set the stage on fire with his six-hitting ability. Chasing 197, he launched an all-out assault against Ankit Bhadana in the 12th over, with the 24-year-old smashing him for four sixes off the last four balls of the over.

The Delhi Premier League took to their X account and posted the video of the same with the caption:

Ayush Badoni's South Delhi Superstarz beat Rishabh Pant's Purani Delhi-6 by three wickets in Delhi Premier League 2024 opener

In the opening match of DPL 2024, South Delhi Superstarz won the toss and elected to field first.

Riding on the back of a 41-ball-59 by Arpit Rana and contributions from Rishabh Pant (35), Lalit Yadav (34) and Vansh Bedi (47), Purani Delhi-6 put up a sizeable total of 197-3 in their allotted 20 overs.

South Delhi Superstarz openers Priyansh Arya and Sarthak Ray made mincemeat of the chase as the duo put together 87 for the first wicket. Ayush Badoni walked in at number 3 and played a splendid knock, scoring 57 off 29.

After the dismissal of the top order, the middle order wobbled but got the job done, with Vision Panchal hitting a six off the first ball of the last over to take his side home.
