[Watch] Babar Azam castled by Adam Zampa for 37 in AUS vs PAK 2024 1st ODI

Pakistan star batter Babar Azam was dismissed after getting a start by Australia's Adam Zampa in the first ODI between Australia and Pakistan on Monday, November 4. The series opener between the two sides is being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Walking out as early as the third over of the innings, Babar took his time to get accustomed to the pace of the wicket and against the bowlers, with the likes of Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc breathing fire. Starc dismissed Saim Ayub (1 off 5) and later accounted for his partner at the top, Abdullah Shafique (12 off 26).

Babar played a few eye-catching strokes and accounted for boundaries with ease. In the 18th over, Cummins decided to change the pace of the game and introduced spin in the form of Adam Zampa.

The spinner bowled three balls against the 30-year-old and on the fourth ball of his over, he managed to peg back his off stump, capitalizing on Babar's error in judgment and getting his first wicket of the match.

Take a look at the dismissal below:

Babar Azam's stay was laced with four boundaries as the Pakistan batting ace was dismissed for 37 runs in 46 balls. His dismissal brought Kamran Ghulam to the middle.
