[Watch] Babar Azam gets bowled by Adam Zampa for 41 in AUS vs PAK 2024 3rd T20I

Pakistan batter Babar Azam was dismissed for 41 in the ongoing third T20I against Australia on Monday, November 18. The final match of the series is being played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

Coming on the back of consecutive single-digit scores, Babar Azam walked out alongside Sahibzada Farhan, after first-time captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and decided to bat. Despite losing his opening partner in the second over, Babar scored runs at a good pace in a 44-run stand with Haseebullah Khan.

But the boundaries eventually dried up and Babar Azam resorted to ones and twos. He tried to break the shackles with a big shot against Adam Zampa in the 13th over, but got yorked to become the fifth wicket to fall.

With that, Babar Azam's series with the bat came to an end, with the former skipper scoring a total of 47 runs, with 41 of them coming in this game.


Pakistan bundled out for 117 in the AUS vs PAK 2024 3rd T20I

Pakistan elected to bat for the first time in the series. The batters scored 58 for one in the powerplay, thus vindicating the move. But their fortunes dwindled as none of the batters, barring Babar (41 off 28) and Haseebullah (24 off 19), got past 20 runs. The visitors were bowled out for 117 with 11 balls still remaining.

For Australia, it was Aaron Hardie (3/21), Adam Zampa (2/11) and Spencer Johnson (2/24) who were the wreckers in chief. Hardie also registered his best figures in this format.

At the time of publishing, Australia were 43 for two at the end of the powerplay. The Aussies have a chance to do a clean sweep after losing the ODI series 1-2.
