[Watch] Babar Azam gets caught in the deep for 3 in the AUS vs PAK 2024 2nd T20I
Pakistan's ace batter Babar Azam was dismissed for three in the ongoing second T20I against Australia today, November 16. The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) plays host to the second of the three contests.
Babar Azam had a poor outing in the field today. Australia got off to a blazing start and Haris Rauf pulled things back when it was looking gloomy for Pakistan. Rauf would have a chance to dismiss Tim David in the 15th over for the Australian batting essay. David pulled one straight to Babar at midwicket, who shelled a relatively simple chance.
The 30-year-old would have a poor outing with the bat in hand as well. He got off the mark with three runs off his first delivery. On the first ball of the second over, he would get a full one on the pads from Xavier Bartlett, with Babar flicking it towards deep square leg. Nathan Ellis held onto the catch and sent the Pakistan ace batter packing.
Take a look at the dismissal below:
Babar Azam was dismissed for three runs in as many deliveries. His dismissal brought Pakistan's newest number three, Sahibzada Farhan to the middle.
