The Bangladesh team celebrated with enthusiasm, dancing to Dwayne Bravo's hit song ‘Champion’ in the dressing room after defeating India to clinch their second consecutive ACC U19 Asia Cup title. The match was played on Sunday, December 8, at the Dubai International Stadium.
Asked to bat first, Bangladesh received solid contributions from Mohammad Shihab James (40), Md Rizan Hossan (47), and Md Farid Hasan Faysal (39), helping them set a total of 198 runs. For India, Yudhajit Guha, Chetan Sharma, and Hardik Raj claimed two wickets each.
In reply, India lost both their openers, Ayush Mhatre (1) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (9), early on. Andre Siddarth C (20), KP Karthikeya (21), and Mohamed Amaan (26) got starts but failed to convert them into significant scores, with India losing half their side for just 73 runs.
Bangladesh’s bowlers were impressive, picking up wickets at regular intervals as India were bowled out for 139 runs, falling short by 59 runs. Iqbal Hossain Emon and Md Azizul Hakim Tamim scalped three wickets each for Bangladesh.
As the Bangla Tigers secured the championship, their players celebrated with a dance to Dwayne Bravo's song ‘Champion’ in the dressing room.

This marked Bangladesh's second consecutive Under-19 Asia Cup title, having previously won the championship by defeating the United Arab Emirates in the 2023 edition.
Bangladesh’s Iqbal Hossain Emon wins the Player of the Tournament award
Bangladesh’s Iqbal Hossain Emon, who claimed three wickets in the final, was named Player of the Match and as well as the Player of the Tournament award. He finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 13 scalps from five matches.
His teammate, Al Fahad, took 12 wickets, securing second place, while India’s Chetan Sharma ended third with nine wickets.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Shahzaib Khan was the tournament's top batter, accumulating 336 runs in four innings, including two centuries.
