[Watch] Ben Duckett smashes four boundaries in a row in ENG vs WI 2nd Test

England opener Ben Duckett was on fire as he struck four boundaries in a row in just the second over of the second Test against the West Indies in Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on Thursday, July 18.

West Indies captain Kraigg Braithwaite won the toss and chose to field first after a defeat by an innings and 114 runs in the first Test. Alzarri Joseph struck early as he got rid of Zak Crawley in the first over. The right-hander was caught at slip. Duckett then started the counter-attack in the second over, bowled by Jayden Seales.

The left-handed batter smacked the first ball for four through the covers, followed by another boundary left of the backward point. On the third ball, he glanced it through mid-wicket to hit a hat-trick of boundaries. Duckett then hit another beautiful cover drive to make it four-in-four, as Seales looked clueless.

Here’s the video:

England have made a strong start to the game after losing an early wicket. At the time of writing, they were 76/1. Ben Duckett (55 off 36 balls) and Ollie Pope (18 of 22 balls) were on the crease for the hosts.

West Indies make one change for the second Test

The West Indies had to make a last-minute change due to an illness. Gudakesh Motie was replaced by right-arm off-break bowler Kevin Sinclair.

"Gudakesh Motie has been replaced in the originally announced team by Kevin Sinclair. Motie woke up feeling unwell and is unable to take his place in the side," a CWI spokesperson said.

Mark Wood replaced James Anderson, who retired following the opening game, for England.
