[Watch] Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and other India women’s cricket team players offer prayer at the Tirupati Balaji Temple

Members of the Indian women’s cricket team, including captain Harmanpreet Kaur, were recently seen offering prayers at the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh. In the video, Harmanpreet was accompanied by Shafali Verma, Pooja Vastrakar, and Renuka Singh.

The players also posed for some pictures with fans, who were making the most of the opportunity to get clicked with the Indian stars. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma was also spotted at the temple. This comes after the Indian women’s team defeated the South African women's team in a one-off test match.

After winning the ODI series and one-off Test match, Team India will now face South Africa Women’s in a three-match T20 series, starting on July 5. The next two games will take place on July 7 and July 9, with all the matches scheduled to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.


India's women's team registered a historic win against South Africa

The Indian women won the toss and opted to bat first in the one-off test match against the South African women played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana were on fire as they stitched together a 292-run opening partnership. Smriti scored 149 runs while Shafali went on to score a double century (205).

Later, Jemimah Rodrigues (55), Harmanpreet Kaur (69), and Richa Ghosh (86) made half-centuries as India declared their inning at 603/6.

In response, no batters apart from Sune Luus (65) and Marizanne Kapp (74) were able to play big innings as the South African women were bowled out on 266. For India, Sneh Rana took eight wickets.

India decided to enforce follow-on as the Proteas women scored 373 in the second inning courtesy of centuries by Laura Wolvaardt (122) and Sune Luus (109). However, India had a small target of 37 in front of them, which they chased down easily and won the match by 10 wickets.

Sneh Rana was given the Player of the Match award for her 10-wicket haul in the game.
