Suryakumar Yadav starred in India's win in the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka last night
Yadav played a major role in the Indian team's win against Sri Lanka last night. He managed only eight runs with the willow, but he made the bold decision of giving the ball to Rinku Singh when Sri Lanka needed nine runs to win in the last two overs.
Singh, bowling his first over in T20I cricket, took two wickets and conceded just three runs. Next, Yadav decided to take the responsibility of bowling the final over. Interestingly, it was his first over in T20Is as well, and the Indian skipper gave away only five runs while dismissing Maheesh Theekshana and Kamindu Mendis.
The match went into a Super Over, where Sri Lanka scored only two runs. Yadav hit a four on the first ball to seal the deal for the visitors.
