[Watch] "Dada moment" - Rahul Dravid takes off his jacket amid hot weather during panel discussion with ICC CEO at Paris Olympics

Former India head coach Rahul Dravid recently beat the heat amid the Paris Olympics by removing his jacket during a panel discussion with ICC CEO Geoff Allardice and the show host at India House. The former India captain is in Paris to recognize the inclusion of cricket in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

In a video doing the rounds on X, Dravid can be seen taking off his jacket during the panel discussion. The panelists pulled his leg during the incident, calling it another "Dada moment" (When Sourav Ganguly removed his T-shirt at Lord's balcony after India beat England in the Natwest Trophy final in 2002).

Rahul Dravid, who coached India to the 2024 T20 World Cup glory, lauded the inclusion of cricket in the Olympics. The 51-year-old said (via TheStatesMan):

“It always felt like cricket should be a part of this. It is truly a great game. It is followed by so many people around the world. It is fantastic for someone like me who is now only a fan. It is truly phenomenal.”

Dravid also pointed out the importance of the United States of America co-hosting the T20 World Cup. He said:

“We know there is an incredible audience for cricket in the USA. We know that just from the number of people who travel from USA to other World Cup events. There is a huge passion for the game in the USA. Just growing the game and having more people play the game was phenomenal.”

Dravid took time out of busy scheduled to cheer for the Indian contingent in the Paris Olympics. He also lauded shooter Manu Bhaker, who won the first medal (bronze in shooting) for India at the Games.

Rahul Dravid recently revealed that the Indian players are excited to play in the 2028 Olympics. He said (via PTI):

"I've already heard a few conversations in the dressing room. People are talking about the 2026 T20 World Cup, there is an ODI World Cup in 2027, and you hear people saying there is the Olympics in 2028.
"People are going to want to win that gold medal, stand on the podium, and be a part of the Games Village, a great sporting event, and interact with so many athletes. As you get closer, I have no doubt that teams will be preparing and checking out facilities. They will take this seriously, and players will fight tooth and nail to be out there,” he added.

Rahul Dravid is rumored to reunite with Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2025 season.
