West Indies Women's all-rounder Deandra Dottin took a blinder to dismiss Radha Yadav in the second T20I of the three-match series against India Women at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, December 17. As a result, Radha departed for just seven runs off eight balls as the Women in Blue lost a cluster of wickets in the death overs.
The dismissal came in the 20th over of India’s innings. Chinelle Henry bowled a delivery in the slot and Radha took the aerial route towards deep mid-wicket. Dottin covered a lot of ground from long-on before diving to her right to complete the catch with both hands. The third umpire took a closer look before confirming the decision. Dottin's hands were underneath the ball when she fell to the ground.

A clinical batting display from Smriti Mandhana helped India post 159/9 against West Indies in their allotted 20 overs. Mandhana slammed 62 runs off 41 balls, a knock laced with one six and nine boundaries. Richa Ghosh also chipped in with a quick-fire 32 off 17 deliveries. Deepti Sharma (17) and Jemimah Rodrigues (13) were the other two batters who reached double digits.
Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, Hayley Matthews, and Afy Fletcher bagged two wickets each for the visitors.
At the time of writing, WI were 94/1, with Matthews and Shemaine Campbelle at the crease. Meanwhile, Qiana Joseph was caught behind by Richa Ghosh off Saima Thakor following her 38 off 22.
India are leading the three-match series 1-0 following their 49-run win in the series opener, thanks to Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana, who smashed half-centuries. Titas Sadhu starred with the ball, returning with three wickets.
Thus, the tourists will be keen to level the series 1-1. The two teams will next lock horns in the third T20I on Thursday, December 19.
