[Watch] Devon Conway's decision against lbw review proves costly as Washington Sundar provides first breakthrough in 2024 IND vs NZ 2nd Test

New Zealand opener Devon Conway’s decision against LBW review proved costly on Day 2 of the second Test against India in Pune on Friday, October 25. The left-handed batter didn’t feel his own edge as Washington Sundar provided the first wicket for India against the Kiwis in the second innings.

The batter's wrong judgment came in the 10th over of New Zealand’s second innings. Sundar bowled a fuller length ball on the middle and Conway went through with his shot but missed it altogether. The ball straightened after pitching and the on-field umpire Paul Reiffel looked confident, raising his finger in a flash.

The replays showed a faint edge but Conway didn’t feel it and thus didn't take a review. After his 76 in the first innings, he walked back for 17 off 25 in the second essay.
