MI returned empty-handed from Jaipur in IPL 2024
The Mumbai Indians landed in Jaipur with the aim of avenging their previous IPL 2024 defeat against the Rajasthan Royals. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten century and Sandeep Sharma's magnificent five-wicket haul helped the Royals complete a double over the Indians with a nine-wicket victory at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Courtesy of the loss against the Rajasthan Royals, the Mumbai Indians continue to be seventh in the IPL 2024 points table with six points from eight matches. They have six games remaining in the league round. The five-time champions will have to ensure that they get back on the winning track soon.
Mumbai's next match is against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday. The team has a short four-day gap, which will allow them to recognize their mistakes and work on it.
