[Watch] Ellyse Perry dismisses her RCB captain Smriti Mandhana in The Hundred

Ellyse Perry took the wicket of her Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Smriti Mandhana in The Hundred clash between Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave at Edgbaston on Saturday, August 3. That came after Mandhana slammed a boundary of Phoenix skipper Perry off the first delivery she faced against her.

The dismissal came off the 12th delivery of Southern Brave’s run chase. Perry bowled a full length and Mandhana opened the face of her bat at the last minute. She tried to work it down the empty slip region but was caught behind by wicketkeeper Amy Jones.

The southpaw departed for 15 runs off eight deliveries, comprising three boundaries.

Mandhana was playing her first few games for the Brave in The Hundred after missing a few games due to the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup. She and Perry won the Women’s Premier League trophy with RCB earlier this year.
