[Watch] England players receive a traditional welcome on arrival in Pakistan ahead of Test series 2024
The English Test squad members arrived in Pakistan recently to participate in the upcoming Test series. It will commence on October 7 with the first Test scheduled at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.
England have good memories from their previous tour to the Asian country in 2022, as they whitewashed the hosts in the 3-match Test series. Pakistan are also under pressure at the moment after losing their latest Test series at home against Bangladesh last month.
The Pakistan Cricket Board's official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle shared a video giving cricket fans a glimpse of the grand welcome received by English players on arrival in their country. In it, the England Test players could be seen entering the team hotel amidst traditional music and dance from local artists.

"I have never seen a lack of unity or effort by the boys"- Pakistan captain Shan Masood ahead of Test series vs England 2024
Pakistan skipper Shan Masood recently refuted the rumors of a lack of unity in their dressing room and revealed that he had no such complaints about his teammates.
Speaking at a press conference, Masood stated (as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo):
"Every captain has their own style. I focus on keeping the environment in the dressing room well; that is my primary concern. I have never seen a lack of unity or effort by the boys. There are some cricketing aspects to how we need to improve, but I have no complaints regarding unity."
On the concerns about batting form of Babar Azam, Masood added:
"Babar Azam is among the world's best batters. You have to give your players time, not just Babar Azam. Babar doesn't look out of form, he's getting starts. There was a 10-month gap between the Australia and Bangladesh Tests, which doesn't help us. Babar Azam is among the world's best batters. You have to give your players time, not just Babar Azam. Babar doesn't look out of form, he's getting starts."
