[Watch] First innings centurion Musheer Khan walks back for a duck as Dhruv Jurel pulls off a stunning diving catch in 2024 Duleep Trophy
Dhruv Jurel pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss first innings centurion Musheer Khan in the 2024 Duleep Trophy clash between India A and India B at the MA Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, September 7. The wicketkeeper-batter dived to his left to complete the catch down the leg side as Musheer failed to keep it away from the wicketkeeper.
The brilliant tactic worked as India A captain Shubman Gill placed a leg slip to counter Musheer, who fell in the trap, departing for a six-ball duck. The right-handed batter had slammed 181 runs off 373 balls in the first innings, which changed the complexion of the game.
The dismissal came in the sixth over of India B’s second innings. Akash Deep bowled a full-length delivery on the leg and Musheer ended up playing behind in the wicketkeeper’s territory. Jurel, who made his Test debut against England earlier this year, showed his sharp reflexes and held onto the catch.
