[Watch] Frustrated Haris Rauf throws ball at Shreyas Iyer after being hit for 2 sixes by Rohit Sharma in IND vs PAK 2023 World Cup match
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf lost his cool and threw a ball at Indian batter Shreyas Iyer during the 2023 World Cup battle between India and Pakistan today (October 14). The incident happened during the 11th over of the Indian innings, which was the second one bowled by Rauf.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma was in fantastic touch and smacked two sixes off Rauf's first over. The fast bowler came in to bowl his second over, where Rohit took a single on the first ball. New batter Shreyas Iyer was on strike next, and he struggled against Rauf's pace initially.
Iyer played two dot balls before defending a ball straight to Rauf on the fourth delivery of the over. Rauf, who was still upset after being hit for two sixes in his first over, threw the ball back at Iyer although the Indian batter was inside his crease.

The crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium showered thunderous boos on the Pakistan fast bowler after he threw the ball at Shreyas Iyer. Rauf has leaked 34 runs in his four wicketless overs so far against India.
Haris Rauf has struggled against India in ODI matches this year
While Haris Rauf is among the fastest bowlers in the world right now, the Pakistan speedster has not achieved much success against India. In the Asia Cup 2023 tournament, Rauf conceded 58 runs in the first match against the Men in Blue and then bowled five wicketless overs before getting injured in the second game.
Even today, Rauf's economy rate has been more than eight runs per over. Last year, at the T20 World Cup 2022, Rauf gave away two sixes to Virat Kohli in the 19th over, and it changed the momentum of the game in India's favor. It will be interesting to see if Rauf can take any wickets today.
