[Watch] "Garden mein ghum raha hai kya?" - Mohammed Siraj on security guard's movements near sight screen during BGT 2024-25 pink-ball warmup game
India pacer Mohammed Siraj vented out his frustration at the security guard for moving near the sight screen during the pink-ball warmup game between India and Australia Prime Minister XI. The match took place at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Sunday, December 1.
The incident happened in the very first over as Siraj bowled to Matt Renshaw. That came after Siraj bowled three consecutive dot balls. The Hyderabad-born pacer was halted by the batter while delivering the fifth ball of the over when he noticed the unnecessary movement.
In a video doing the rounds on X, Siraj can be seen using India captain Rohit Sharma's famous one-liner while moving back for the run-up. The speedster said:
"O bhai garden mein ghum raha hai kya?"

India's regular skipper Rohit had used the wordings during the 2024 England tour of India. The phrase went viral on social media.
The batters and bowlers face a lack of concentration during any movement from the fans or security near the side screen. It is advised to avoid such movements near the area.
As far as the match is concerned, India beat Australia PMXI by six wickets. Siraj returned with figures of 1/18 in his seven overs, including a maiden.
"As a fast bowler, you get everything you want" - Mohammed Siraj on bowling in Australia
Mohammed Siraj has expressed his delight at bowling in Australia after bagging five wickets in Perth. That came after he managed just six wickets in the previous six Tests at home.
The 30-year-old told ESPNcricinfo:
"Australia is a place where a fast bowler enjoys because you get pace and bounce. As a fast bowler, you get everything you want. So you get a different kind of confidence to come and enjoy your bowling here."
Siraj credited fast-bowling coach Morne Morkel and vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah for 'words of wisdom', saying:
"Morne [Morkel, India's current bowling coach] keeps telling me that 'you are a warrior'. 'You'll get us wickets, but you just keep enjoying your bowling'."
"I always keep talking to Jassi bhai [Bumrah]. Even before the first match, I spoke with him about what I was going through. And he just told me one thing - don't run after wickets, just keep bowling consistently in one area and enjoy your bowling. If you still don't get wickets, then you come ask me. So I enjoyed my bowling and I got wickets as well," he added.
Siraj will now look to deliver for the tourists in the pink-ball Test, the second Test of the five-game series, which gets underway on Friday, December 6.
