[Watch] Hardik Pandya fumes in anger during DC vs MI IPL 2024 match

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya lost his cool during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday (April 27).

In a video, Pandya was seen in an angry mood after the conclusion of the 10th over. That came even as Mohammad Nabi bowled just a four-run over and took the wicket of Abishek Porel. DC, however, were 128/2 after 10 overs. The all-rounder looked unhappy with the bowling display.

In the match, Pandya returned wicketless by giving away 41 runs. He bowled the fifth and seventh overs, conceding 20 and 21 runs, respectively.

Watch Pandya's reaction below:

For the unversed, Hardik Pandya has failed to deliver as MI captain this season and the fans too haven't given him a good time as he replaced Rohit Sharma as skipper.

The five-time IPL champions are placed ninth in the points table with three wins in eight matches. The 30-year-old has managed just four wickets (nine innings) and scored 151 runs (eight innings). He will look to make amends as MI aim to reach the playoffs.

DC set a 258-run target for MI in IPL 2024 match

A clinical batting display from Jake Fraser-McGurk helped DC post 257/4 against MI in the IPL on Saturday. McGurk smashed 84 runs off 27 balls with the help of six sixes and 11 boundaries. He shared a 114-run partnership with Abishek Porel for the opening wicket.

Tristan Stubbs also smacked an unbeaten 48 off 25 deliveries, comprising two sixes and six boundaries. Shai Hope, Abishek Porel, and Rishabh Pant chipped in with 41 (17), 36 (27), and 29 (19), respectively.

Luke Wood, Jasprit Bumrah, Piyush Chawla and Mohammed Nabi bagged one wicket each for MI.

DC will now look to continue their winning momentum after beating Gujarat Titans by four runs in a thriller. They will also be keen to avenge the 29-run loss against MI they suffered earlier this season.

On the other hand, MI will look to return to winning ways after losing to Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets. They would be looking to draw inspiration from Punjab Kings's 262-run chase against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.
