Welsh Fire pacer Haris Rauf was pumped up after dismissing Andre Russell for a golden duck in the 10th match of The Hundred Men’s Competition on Thursday, August 1. The match between London Spirit and Welsh Fire took place at Lord’s in London.

Andre Russell came to the crease after Haris Rauf dismissed Daniel Lawrence on the 76th ball. The West Indian batter backed away on the first delivery in an attempt to hit it out of the park, but missed the ball completely as it crashed into the stumps.

The Welsh Fire pacer was fired up, shouting in delight as he got back-to-back wickets.

However, Andre Russell’s wicket didn’t have much of an impact on the game, as London Spirit secured a fairly comfortable win. Chasing a target of 95 runs, London Spirit captain Daniel Lawrence played a decent hand of 29 off 27 balls.

Towards the end, it was Shimron Hetmyer who remained unbeaten on 30 off 21 deliveries. The left-handed batter hit a six to seal the game, as London Spirit won the match by three wickets with 13 balls remaining.

Haris Rauf took three wickets and conceded 20 runs in the 17 deliveries he bowled in the game. Matt Henry also picked up three wickets for the Welsh Fire.

Nathan Ellis and Liam Dawson shine for the London Spirit in the first innings

The London Spirit won the toss and chose to bowl first. Daniel Worrall was brilliant for London as he bowled 10 dot balls on the trot as Welsh Fire got off to a slow start. Soon, Tom Kohler-Cadmore (4 of 13 balls) was dismissed by Olly Stone.

Luke Wells played a brilliant cameo of 23 runs off eight balls. Welsh Fire weren't able to build a decent partnership, as London Spirit bowlers kept chipping away. Tom Abell’s side only managed to score 94 runs in 100 balls.

For the London Spirit, Nathan Ellis and Liam Dawson bagged three wickets each.

In response, the Welsh Fire bowlers, led by Haris Rauf and Matt Henry, tried hard, but it wasn't meant to be as London Spirit won the game by three wickets.
