[Watch] Harmanpreet Kaur takes a brilliant catch in the 3rd T20I against South Africa Women

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur took a splendid catch in the 3rd T20I between the Women in Blue and South Africa Women on Tuesday (July 9). Harmanpreet won the toss and decided to bowl first in the series decider. South Africa Women won the first game by 12 runs, while the second ended in a no-result due to rain.

Tazmin Brits came running down the pitch to hit over the long-off fielder on the fourth delivery of the eighth over by Deepti Sharma. However, the right-handed batter didn't get to the pitch of the ball, and the Indian captain leaped forward and to her right to collect the ball, just inches above the ground, to complete a brilliant catch.

At the time of writing, South Africa Women were in a spot of bother. After 12 overs, the Proteas Women were 63/5, with Chloe Tryon (5) and Annerie Dercksen (1) on the crease. For India, Pooja Vastrakar is having an excellent day; she has picked up three wickets in the game so far.

India Women will be looking to tie the series 1-1

South Africa Women are having a tour to forget. India Women whitewashed South Africa Women in a three-match ODI series. After that, Harmanpreet Kaur’s side was all over the Proteas in the one-off Test match. Centuries from Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana and a 10-wicket haul in the match by Sneh Rana helped India win the match by 10 wickets.

South Africa Women got their first win of the tour in the opening game of the T20I series. Batting first, brilliant innings from Tazmin Brits (81) and Marizanne Kapp (57) helped the Proteas put up a decent total of 189/4 on the board. In response, Jemimah Rodrigues (53* off 30 balls) fought hard but couldn't get her team over the line as India fell short by 12 runs.

Meanwhile, after being asked to bat first, South Africa scored 177/6 runs in the second T20I. However, rain had the last say as the match ended in a no-result, without a ball being bowled in the second innings.
