Harshit Rana picked up four wickets in six balls spanning two overs in the pin-ball warmup game between India and Australia PM XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Sunday, December 1. The speedster first broke the 109-run partnership between Sam Konstas and Jack Calyton before leaving the hosts in disarray. Harshit dismissed Clayton for 40 before sending back Oliver Davies (silver duck), skipper Jack Edwards 1 (6), and Sam Harper (silver duck).
The dismissals began in the 23rd over of Australia PM XI innings. Harshit first knocked over Clayton with a back-of-a-length ball on the fourth stump that swung in sharply to hit the off and middle stumps. The batter was caught on the crease, expecting a short delivery, and hurried into his stroke.
The pacer then cleaned up Davies with full-length ball on the middle and leg stumps. The batter was expecting a short delivery. He tried to guide the ball towards the leg side but missed the straight delivery.
In Rana’s next over (25th over), Edwards and Harper were caught at the long leg by Prasidh Krishna as the duo attempted similar pull shots.
