[Watch] Harshit Rana takes brilliant diving catch to dismiss Aryan Juyal in IND C vs IND D 2024 Duleep Trophy match

India D seamer Harshit Rana took a brilliant catch to dismiss India C batter Aryan Juyal on Day 3 of their ongoing 2024 Duleep Trophy match on Saturday, September 7. The game is being played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.

The dismissal occurred on the first ball of the 39th over. Arshdeep Singh came around the wicket and bowled a full delivery wide of off-stump. Juyal attempted to slash at it and got a flying edge. Harshit Rana, fielding at deep point, ran in and took a brilliant diving catch to dismiss the right-handed batter.

Juyal played a solid innings, scoring 47 runs off 74 balls, with three boundaries and one six to his name, before becoming Arshdeep's first wicket.


IND C vs IND D game set for a nail-biting finish in Duleep Trophy

Chasing a target of 233 runs, India C started strongly, reaching 50 runs in just 6.3 overs. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sai Sudharsan formed a solid partnership of 64 runs off 67 balls before the latter was dismissed by Saransh Jain for 22 runs off 34 balls.

Ruturaj was then dismissed for 46 off 48 balls after a knock that included eight boundaries. Aryan Juyal and Rajat Patidar would go on to put together 88 runs off 141 balls for the third wicket before Saransh removed Patidar, who scored 44 off 77 balls with six boundaries and one six.

Aryan soon fell to Arshdeep, scoring 47 off 74 balls. First-innings hero Baba Indrajith managed only seven runs off 28 balls before becoming Saransh’s fourth wicket.

At tea on Day 3, India C were 198/6 in 53 overs, with Abishek Porel (21*) and Manav Suthar (0*) at the crease. They need 35 more runs to win with four wickets in hand.

Earlier in the game, Shreyas Iyer (54) and Devdutt Padikkal (56) both scored fifties in the second innings, helping India D set a target of 233 runs.
