Hasan Mahmud bowled peach of a delivery to get rid of dangerous-looking Yashasvi Jaiswal during the second Test between India and Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Day 4 (Monday, September 30). Jaiswal missed on a well-deserved century, scoring 72 runs off 51 balls, a knock laced with two sixes and 12 boundaries.
The dismissal came in the 15th over of India’s first innings. Mahmud bowled a good-length delivery that stayed low and Jaiswal was stuck inside the crease. The ball sneaked past his defense before crashing onto the off and middle stumps.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had previously scored 56 and 10 in his two innings of the first Test against Bangladesh. The left-handed batter is the second-highest run-scorer in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, with 1166 runs in 19 innings. The 22-year-old is only behind former England captain Joe Root (1398 runs in 29 innings).
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provide a flying start for India vs Bangladesh in 2nd Test
India’s top three, including Yashasvi Jaiswal, provided a flying start to his team against Bangladesh. The hosts crossed 100 after just 10.1 overs to register the fastest hundred by a team in Tests.
At the time of writing, India were 138/2 at Tea, with Shubman Gill (37 off 30) and Rishabh Pant (4 off 5) at the crease. Rohit Sharma scored 23 runs off 11 balls before falling prey to Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Asked to bat first, Bangladesh were bundled out for 233 in their first innings. Hasan Mahmud starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 107 off 194 deliveries with the aid of one six and 17 boundaries.
Jasprit Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker for the Men in Blue, picking up three wickets, while Mohammed Siraj, Ravichandran Ashwin and Akash Deep bagged two apiece. Ravindra Jadeja took also one wicket to become second-fastest Indian with 300 Test wickets.
Team India are leading the two-match Test series 1-0 after registering a 280-run win in Chennai.
