[Watch] "I don’t know why I trolled him" - Indian fan passionately apologizes to Hardik Pandya after T20 World Cup win
An Indian fan has apologized to all-rounder Hardik Pandya after the latter delivered a stellar performance in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa. Hardik racked up figures of 3/20 as the Men in Blue won their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.
The Indian team is set to have an open-top bus parade to celebrate the T20 World Cup win with the fans in Mumbai. One of the fans while speaking to India Today was seen admitting that she was angry at Hardik during IPL 2024 when the latter represented the Mumbai Indians (MI).
However, the fan further claimed that she realized her mistake and apologized to Hardik Pandya, thanking him for the final over against South Africa. Here's what the fan said:
"First and foremost, I want to say sorry to Hardik Pandya. I don’t know why I trolled him in the first place. I am very sorry. Thank you so much. The last over was amazing. And I want to say sorry. Why did I even say anything wrong about you? I don’t know."

Hardik Pandya's incredible turnaround
With just 216 runs in the IPL 2024 season, the pressure was on Hardik to step up and perform for the Men in Blue in the T20 World Cup. The booing from the home fans seemed to have taken its toll on the all-rounder in the IPL.
However, it was a completely different Hardik that turned up for Team India as he scored 144 runs as a finisher at a strike rate of more than 150. He also picked up 11 wickets with the ball and most of them were at crucial junctures. His scalps of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller decisively turned the final in India's favor.
