Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan was fired up after dismissing Pakistan captain Younis Khan in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) final on Saturday, July 13. The Pakistan Champions won the toss and chose to bat first in the final at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
It was the third ball of the 12th over of the Pakistan Champions innings when Younis Khan missed a straight delivery from Irfan. The right-handed batter tried to play it across the line and missed it completely as the ball hit the stumps. Irfan roared in delight as he took an important wicket. Younis (7 runs off 11 balls) wicket left Pakistan at 79/4 after 11.3 overs.

At the time of writing, the Pakistan Champions finished the innings at 156/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Shoaib Malik (41 off 36 balls) was the highest scorer for the Men in Green.
Anureet Singh was the pick of the bowlers for the India Champions. The right-arm pacer conceded 43 runs in his spell of four overs but took three important wickets (Sharjeel Khan, Malik, and Aamer Yamin).
Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan bowled an economical spell. The all-rounder conceded only 12 runs in three overs and dismissed the opponent's team captain.

The India Champions faced the Australia Champions in the second semi-final of the World Championship of Legends on Friday, July 12. Robin Uthappa played a brilliant hand of 65 off 35 balls as the Men in Blue got off to a great start. Then, it was a vintage Yuvraj Singh show; the southpaw scored 59 off 28 balls.
Towards the end of the innings, the Pathan brothers stole the limelight. Irfan Pathan was at his best; the all-rounder smashed 50 runs off 19 balls before getting out to Peter Siddle. Meanwhile, elder brother Yusuf remained unbeaten on 51 off 23 balls as the India Champions put up a mammoth total of 254 on the board.
In response, the Australia Champions never looked in the game, as they fell well short of the target. Tim Paine (40*) was the top-scorer as the Men in Yellow, as they lost the match by 86 runs. Dhawal Kulkarni and Pawan Negi bagged wickets two each for the India Champions.
