[Watch] "Jaldi aa"- Shubman Gill urges teammate to hurry up as India prepare for 3rd ODI vs Sri Lanka
Team India vice-captain Shubman Gill was seen asking a fellow teammate to hurry up as the Men in Blue prepare for the third ODI against Sri Lanka to be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The Islanders have gained an unassailable lead of 1-0 over the visitors in the three-match ODI series.
Ahead of their do-or-die clash on Wednesday, August 7, Team India held a practice session on Tuesday. During the session, Gill was seen gesturing to a fellow teammate, asking him to come up in the dressing room quickly.
He said to the teammate:
"Jaldi aa (Come quickly)."
While it is unclear as to which teammate he was gesturing towards, Shubman Gill shortly walked down the stairs from the pavilion before making his way back alongside his teammate Arshdeep Singh.

Shubman Gill will look to make amends in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka
While Team India enjoyed an eventful outing in the T20Is, the series in the 50-over format of the game didn't seem to go their way. After a tied game in the first ODI, Team India lost the second ODI to Sri Lanka, courtesy of a splendid five-wicket haul by Jeffery Vandersay. Barring Rohit Sharma, no other batter in the Indian side got going as they crumbled to the Lankan spinners, losing the match by 32 runs.
Shubman Gill has had a quiet tour of the Island nation so far. While scoring 73 runs in the two T20Is he played earlier, he has not been able to translate similar form in the ODIs, managing 51 runs across two innings. He was dismissed cheaply in the first game but threw his wicket away in the second ODI, where he was dismissed for a well-made 35. He will be looking to get a big score under his belt in the third ODI against the Islanders and end the tour on a high.
Team India will lock horns against Sri Lanka for the last time in the ODI series. While the visitors will be looking to achieve parity, the Islanders will look to win the game and aim for a series win over Team India, their first in 27 years. The game will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
