[Watch] Jason Holder dismisses Aiden Markram with the first ball of his spell in SA vs WI first Test
West Indies fast bowler Jason Holder managed to get the better of Aiden Markram in the first Test match between West Indies and South Africa played at the Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Markram was dismissed for 9 runs off 34 deliveries.
South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first against hosts West Indies. They were tested early on with the new ball as Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales thoroughly tested the batters, beating their bat on multiple occasions.
South Africa managed to wade through the testing waters and managed to get some boundaries flowing with Tony de Zorzi striking the ball nicely. On the other end, Aiden Markram found the going tough and was being tested with the ball and the batter being made to work hard to get every run.
Jason Holder was soon brought into the attack and the pacer struck off his first delivery, taking the off stump with him. He got the ball to swing back in and caught Markram late on his defense, helping West Indies get their first wicket of the match.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Test match against West Indies. The visitors could not get off the blocks with a flourish as Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales kept the proceedings under control.
West Indies managed some success in the form of the wicket of Aiden Markram, with Jason Holder managing to send his off stump out for a walk. An over later, the game was brought to a halt as the heavens opened up and brought about a stoppage in play.
At the moment, South Africa are 45-1 at the end of 15 overs. Tony de Zorzi (32) and Tristan Stubbs (2) are their unbeaten batters in the middle. For West Indies, it was Jason Holder who picked up the only wicket so far.
