Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah celebrated the 2024 T20 World Cup win with his son Angad and wife Sanjana Ganesan at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday (June 29). Sanjana was also traveling with her husband during the tournament as part of her work assignment with the ICC media team.

Jasprit Bumrah played a huge role in India's undefeated campaign in the World Cup by leading the bowling department with aplomb. He was the third highest-wicket taker with 15 scalps from eight games. Apart from picking up crucial wickets, Bumrah was highly successful at putting brakes on the scoring rate, as he had an exceptional economy rate of 4.18 across the tournament.

The Indian stalwart also stepped up for India during the crunch moments in the final and bowled a sensational spell of 4-0-18-2 to help his side edge out South Africa in a fiercely contested battle. Bumrah was expectably elated and emotional after the memorable victory in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. He celebrated the special occasion with his young son Angad and wife Sanjana on the ground and also posed with the trophy in their company.

"I usually don't cry a lot after the game but this feels really special"- Jasprit Bumrah after India's victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup final

Indian bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah received the Player of the Tournament award at the presentation ceremony after the conclusion of the World Cup final against South Africa. Reflecting on the memorable win, Bumrah said:

"I usually am the one who tries to keep my emotions in check and gets the job done. I don't have a lot of words. I usually don't cry a lot after the game but this feels really special. To pull a win like this feels really special. I'm just really over the moon. My son and family are here and I could do something special for India. We came close and fell short last time."

Describing his emotions and thought process, the ace pacer continued:

"When you do well on the big stage and the team wins, there's no better feeling. I was truing to keep myself in a bubble, spending time with my family and keeping my feet up. When the big day comes you have to do it even more. Whenever I am in my peak mindset I think of one ball at a time and one over at a time."
