[Watch] “Jasprit, got some work to do” - Travis Head names hottest Indian player ahead of 2024-25 BGT

Australia's swashbuckling batter Travis Head recently picked the hottest Indian player ahead of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). When asked about pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, he said that the speedster has got some work to do on himself.

Head picked India captain Rohit Sharma as the hottest player both physically and based on his cricketing skills. Like Rohit, Head is also an opening batter.

Speaking on 7 Cricket, Travis Head said:

"I don't think he's that good looking. Potentially [he's got some work to do]. I think there's been hotter. I like Rohit's work. I am happy with the Dad setup. I think he's got the most style out of all of them. He stands at the top, takes them on, double stepping blokes in the powerplay. Both [physical attractiveness and cricketing skills]."
"I think people will [find him attractive]. Yeah, I just like the way he gets about it. Yeah, around the sheds. I am happy with it. I am happy with his setup. Jasprit, got some work to do. Maybe, after the Test matches [you pass that on]," he added.

On the professional front, Travis Head will be key for Australia as they aim to win their first Test series against India in the last 10 years. The southpaw has amassed 715 runs in 10 Tests against India, including one ton and three half-centuries.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma loves playing against Australia

Rohit Sharma loves playing against Australia. The 37-year-old has 3571 runs against the Aussies across formats, including nine boundaries. Notably, he has 2033 runs Down Under.

Earlier this year, Rohit slammed a quickfire 92 off 41 balls against Australia in the 2024 T20 World Cup. India won the match by 24 runs before becoming eventual champions.

However, Rohit is currently having a poor run in Tests. The right-handed batter scored just 91 runs in three-match Test series against New Zealand, who whitewashed India by a 3-0 margin as India lost their first series at home since 2012. The Mumbai batter has managed a solitary half-century in last five Tests (10 innings).

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has picked up 14 wickets in his last four Tests. He has 32 wickets in seven Tests Down Under.
