[Watch] Kuldeep Yadav accurately predicts final scoreline for Spain vs England EURO 2024 final

Team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav was in attendance at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, to witness the EURO 2024 final between Spain and England. Known for being an ardent football fan in the Indian camp, the bowler correctly predicted the final scoreline (2-1) between the two sides prior to the kick-off.

The broadcasters caught up with Kuldeep for a brief pitchside chat ahead of the kick-off, where he was asked to predict the final score, among other things.

"Both teams are playing really well at the moment. Spain has been really well throughout this tournament. If they play like that, the way they played all the games, I'm sure they can easily pass through England. But, the final is always tough (to predict), but I am supporting Spain and I think they will go past England and win 2-1," Kuldeep said on Sony Sports Network.

Kuldeep had met former England footballer David Beckham ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup semi-final clash against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium. He is an ardent supporter of FC Barcelona and is quite active on social media with the football proceedings throughout the season.

Kuldeep was recently part of the Indian squad that clinched the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA). The players are currently enjoying a break, with the second-string squad touring Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series.

Kuldeep Yadav's prediction came true as Spain won 2-1 to lift their fourth Euros title

The final on Sunday (July 14) saw a cagey first half as both Spain and England failed to break the deadlock. Spain were handed a major setback after star defensive midfielder Rodri suffered an injury and had to be replaced at half-time.

Nico Williams scored the first goal a couple of minutes after the restart, handing Spain the lead. The La Rojas were cruising through the game and even missed out on the chance to double their lead on various occasions. Jordan Pickford stood tall to thwart two of Lamine Yamal's left-footed efforts to keep England in the game.

Substitute Cole Palmer scored a sublime goal from outside the box in the 73rd minute to level things up, but Mikel Oyarzabal scored a tight finish in the 86th minute to give Spain the lead again. A Dani Olmo goal-line clearance off a Declan Rice header was the final straw as England came up short yet again.
