[Watch] Kuldeep Yadav traps New Zealand skipper Tom Latham lbw to provide first breakthrough for India in IND vs NZ 1st Testย
Kuldeep Yadav drew first blood for India against New Zealand in the first Test at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Day 2 (Thursday, October 17). The left-arm spinner dismissed Latham for 15 runs off 49 balls as the Kiwis lost their first wicket at 67.
The dismissal came in the 18th over of the visitors' first innings. Kuldeep bowled a googly, which Latham failed to read. The southpaw played outside the line of the ball while trying to defend it. The ball hit the pads and looked plumb but on-field umpires thought otherwise. Kuldeep convinced skipper Rohit Sharma to take the review. The replays showed that the ball wouldโve hit the middle and leg stump.
