[Watch] Kunwar Bhiduri takes an absolute stunner in the Delhi Premier League
Purani Delhi-6's all-rounder Kunwar Bhiduri took an absolute stunner to dismiss Manjeet in their season opener against South Delhi Superstarz. This match is being played at the Arun Jaitley International Stadium, Delhi.
The Delhi Premier League (DPL) was underway today (Saturday, August 17). The tournament features six teams, with big names such as Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, and Ayush Badoni part of the league. The opening fixture saw Rishabh Pant's Purani Delhi-6 take on Ayush Badoni's South Delhi Superstarz.
In the third over of the first innings, Kunwar Bhiduri took a splendid catch off the bowling of Divij Mehra to see the back of Purani Delhi-6's opener Manjeet. The opener looked to go for a big shot. Fielding at short third, Bhiduri did exceptionally well to backtrack and follow the ball while holding onto it safely. He helped South Delhi Superstarz pick up their first wicket.

Rishabh Pant is batting in the middle for Purani Delhi-6 against South Delhi Superstarz
Manjeet was the first wicket to fall for Purani Delhi-6 as Team India's wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant walked out to the middle. He looked a bit scratchy and took some time in the middle to accustomed to the pace of the wicket.
He was batting alongside Arpit Rana in the middle. The duo stitched a valuable partnership in the middle, scoring 100 runs for the second wicket. Arpit Rana also scored the first 50 of the tournament but lost his wicket to Ayush Badoni looking to accelerate.
For South Delhi Superstarz, Divij Mehra and Ayush Badoni have been their two wicket-takers so far. Mehra has proven to be expensive in his three overs so far. Meanwhile, Badoni has completed an economical spell, picking up a wicket whilst conceding only 27 runs in his four overs.
At the time of writing, Rishabh Pant (35*) and his Delhi Capitals team-mate, Lalit Yadav (3*) were batting in the middle. Purani Delhi-6 were on 117 for 2 at the end of 14 overs.
