[Watch] Marizanne Kapp cleans up Meg Lanning with a beauty in The Hundred Women’s Competition
Oval Invinciblesall-rounder Marizanne Kapp bowled a peach to dismiss London Spirit opener Meg Lanning in the 15th match of The Hundred women’s competition on Sunday, August 4. The match is currently being played at Lord’s in London. Both teams have won two games out of three in the tournament so far.
The dismissal came on the fourth ball of the London Spirit’s innings. Marizanne Kapp bowled a full-length ball just outside off. The ball came back in and went through Meg Lanning’s defense, who departed for just one run. The dismissal left her side at 2/1 in the first over.

Marizanne Kapp took four wickets in her spell of 20 deliveries, conceding only 11 runs.
Marizanne Kapp put London Spirit women on the backfoot
Oval Invincibles women won the toss and chose to field first. Marizanne Kapp provided a great start as she ripped through Meg Lanning's defense on the fourth ball. Kapp then struck twice in four balls as she got rid of Cordelia Griffith (19 off 12 balls) and Georgia Redmayne (9 off 11 balls).
Ryana Macdonald Gay picked up the fourth wicket for the Oval Invincibles. She dismissed Danielle Gibson (2) on the 36th delivery. Kapp ended her brilliant spell of bowling with a wicket of London Spirit captain Heather Knight.
At the time of writing, London Spirit Women were 52/5 after 55 balls, with Deepti Sharma and Charlotte Dean at the crease.
