England ace pacer Mark Wood uprooted middle stumps to dismiss Kirk Mckenzie in the ongoing third Test against West Indies at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Friday, July 26. With the wicket, Wood helped England strike twice ahead of Lunch after a good start by the visitors.
The dismissal came in the 25th over of Windies’ innings. Wood bowled a full-length delivery that swung back to uproot the middle stump out of the ground. The speedster bowled it at a sheer pace of 146 kmph to beat Mckenzie for an inside edge.

With the wicket, Kirk McKenzie continues his nightmare with the bat in the Test series against England. The left-hander has returned with scores of 1, 0, 11, 1, and 12 (today) in his five innings. Meanwhile, Mark Wood would look to deliver more with the ball after managing just two wickets, one in each innings of the second Test.

A clinical bowling display from Gus Atkinson and Mark Wood helped England dominate West Indies in 1st session of Day 1. Atkinson struck twice, dismissing Mikyle Louis and Alick Athanaze. The latter departed on the stroke of Lunch, the last ball of the morning session.
At the time of writing, the visitors were 97-3 at Lunch, with skipper Kraigg Brathwaite (57 runs off 79 balls, 4x7) at the crease. He shared a 76-run partnership with Louis for the first wicket.
Ben Stokes and Co. are leading the three-match Test series 2-0. They beat the Windies by an innings and 114 runs in the first Test to give James Anderson a fitting farewell at Lord’s in London. The hosts then defeated the visitors by 241 runs in the second Test despite trailing them by 41 runs in the first innings in Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Kriagg Brathwaite and Co. would be keen to register a consolation win in the Test series.
